Organic Conditioner, Dry Hair
Hydroxypropyltrimonium, also known as quats (quaternary ammonium compounds), is very commonly added to even so-called “natural conditioners” and its purpose is to create a soft silky feel. It has shown to develop allergic reactions, respiratory problems, and skin irritation.
Propylene Glycol is an enhancer normally added to hair conditioners to prevent the product from freezing or melting and this and helps accelerate the ingredients penetration into the scalp and skin.
Ethylhexylglycerin is being used as an alternative to parabens and used as a dry hair conditioning agent. Although it may come from a natural source it has been chemically processed and should not be added to natural cruelty-free shampoo products.
